I too agree about Hill. I like this move for the O's if it goes down. He may just need a change to get back on track. If he can get back to his 2007 form good move for the O's. I like what they are doing and I like what the M's are doing.

    The Cubs? Not so much.

The trade logic in this game is broken.
      So unrealistic.
I'm trading it in and going back to the '07 version.

No big lost there as Hill seems to only pitch well when the games don't matter, so he should excel with O's.
Don't you EVER read my blog? It's gotten a lot better.

What are you talking about? The O's have nothing to lose. They haven't been to the playoffs since 1997 and have only won 80 games once since then. He wasn't that bad in 2007.

It's a really good move for them if he gets back to pitching like he did in 2007.

Did you watch him pitch? When you lose it that bad its hard to ever get it back. He wasn't just awful, he was beyond awful. No control, whatsoever. I'm just glad he's gone.

There's still a chance he could help the Orioles out though. It's not like they are going anywhere this year anyway. Their rotation is Guthrie and then a bunch of crap. Even if Hill sucks he can't be that much worse than Radhames Liz or some of the other guys the O's are throwing out there.

Liz has a chance to be a very good pitcher if he can solve his control problems.

                      So he's another Daniel Cabrera.

Liz was a step ahead of Cabrera as far as minor league stats go. He threw a no-hitter in AA, so he certainly has the stuff. He's not like D-Cab in that his fastball suddenly went from 98-100 to 91-92. I've been high on him since he really emerged as a prospect in 2005, and I still have faith that he can become at least an average ML pitcher.

Cabrera is a headcase. It does not take much to rattle him and throw him off his game, especially when he makes mistakes early in a game. If he has a bad inning in the first few innings it almost guarenteed he will not rebound.

Exactly what I was saying. He should be an improvement. You have to take small steps.

Not to mention he's probably the worst fielding pitcher in the majors.

Apparently he can't hit either, Cabrera is 0-14 with 14 Ks lifetime at the plate.
