Makes me wonder if they will investigate MLB's testing process, since it took a government raid to get the urine to be retested. As in, the first test seems "covered up".

Well didn't we already know this...

I mean Bonds stated "I didn't 'knowingly' take steriods".

So that right there is him saying he did, but trying to shift the blame of his positive test from him to a trainer.

lol...McGwire hasn't either though and he would hold the single season if Bonds is stricken, not Sosa.

That said, I don't think it will happen anyway. If you do that, it wouldn't really be fair to Bonds. Meaning McGwire and Sosa are both strongly suspected AND Bond's sample isn't from the year he broke the record.

Sosa's body changed just as dramatically as Bonds' did, he and McGwire can't even beat the eyeball test.

The choices are that these guys either juiced like crazy, or have cracked the genetic code and should share the biggest scientific breakthrough since Galileo with the rest of the scientific community.

I believe that MLB still isn't even testing for HGH, which has even nastier side effects than steroids. Everyone knows what's been going on, the NFL knows they have an epidemic, the makers are better than the testers and they don't have a chance. It's implausible to take muscle biopsy's so just enjoy your sports for what they are, jacked up mutant millionaires performing at a higher level than is possible for normal humans. The list of guys NOT using is pretty small.

Dick Butkus has a steroid education foundation and they estimate as least a million high school athletes are using, he said he doesn't even bother with the NFL because they're a lost cause.

The NFL does hire experts to talk to the players and teams but you will hear nothing about it, they're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Guys can use and make millions or not use and be at a major disadvantage.

Lawyers are something, but that's why the good ones get paid the big bucks.

Filing a motion to exclude evidence including the 2003 urine sample which oh, by the way, is one of the reasons this entire case is on trial, is some serious business. I'd call it gutsy, but it's just being smart.

It just amazes me sometimes how you can have some evidence thrown away though the judge knows that said evidence could prove someone guilty or innocent.

I do like that the judge said that releasing the information would not hinder Bonds in receiving a fair trial. She must use the term loosely because fair in this case must mean getting what he deserves coming to him.

I think the steroid problem is blown totally out of proportion. First off...i am yet to see a study that shows the negative impact of long term or short term use of steroids (the current gen) on the body when they are supervised by a doctor.

Secondly, The epidemic amongst teens...to be honest, I dont trust the dick Butckus foundation for a study on steroids...secondly i am willing to bet that there is more steroid use amongst non-users. We look at sporst...but I think guys mainly want to look buff to get chix. I think that many look at pics of the male body and they want to look like that...

In this regards...sports are not the center of the problem...look to Hollywood...50cent, LL Cool J, Stallone, Vin Diesel, and Christian Bale are more responsible for steroid use than say bonds, Sosa or McGwire.

Btw...I am not a steroid user...nor would recommend it. But lets be fair.

That bolded statement applies to a lot of things in life. I personally don't think anyone here was not being fair... realistically, true "long term" effects will not be known until the guys on current-gen roids reach that "long term."

Like most things, getting into "help" with little or no knowledge is surely not going to be as beneficial as with a guy who knows the stuff in and out and really can f up up (liver).

A question though..... if you have seen nothing negative about it... why would you not recommend them to anyone? When I was in school, if I knew 100% that nothing negative could come of them - I would have used them in a heartbeat for the potential gains.

Not too sure about the actor/musician influence. I train and rehab people for a living and they all say the same thing: "I want my belly to go away, better abs, and more tone." real general stuff... maybe they just havent crossed my path yet. But I have no one who says that they are in training to be an actor.

I love my boy Sammy. I met him one time, great guy.

But he was totally juiced. I'm thinking MLB either gets all these guys or Bonds' record stays with some sort of asterisk or they call it the steroid years.

Me too.

Met him out here over the course of a few years of spring ball. Dude was bigger than Barry thru hte chest and shoulders one year.... my size (normal human) the next. Speaks pretty damn good English too..... :wink:
