Ok, I'm sure something has been posted on this before, probably 6 months ago, but I was in Europe during the postseason and never heard why a September callup was allowed to pitch in the World Series. I'm not trying to spark a debate with this, but could someone shed some light on this for me please? I'm just looking for information. Thanks in advance.

That's not why I'm asking. I've been around long enough to know that one pitcher does not make a team. The Giants blew their own chances, I accept that.

I'm just curious because September callups usually aren't allowed to pitch in the postseason. How was he allowed to play? That's all I'm asking. I don't need a point/counterpoint here. Just wondered if anybody knew.
