Re: ALFONSO SORIANO: Is He The Most Complete Player in MLB?

the main thing I can't believe you said is that A-rod doesn't hustle. Every game I ever saw him play in Seattle he was hustling. He is the most hustling player I have ever seen. Too be honest with you, I'm not sure where he would stack up right now. I know for a fact he has his best years ahead of him and we can accurately judge then. People really don't know if the pitching was actually better back then. Smaller ball parks and bigger players make it hard to determine. We really can't tell either way as of right now how he stacks up. When his career is over I wouldn't be surprised to see him regarded as better than all the players you have listed above. Time will tell. No need to name call. You can admit that you haven't seen A-rod play more than 2-3 times in his career.

Nice. Someone doesnt agree with you and you call him names. I love Soriano, myself, but he's no where near the player AROD is. I've seen him live a ton, and always seen him hustle out of the box. Why run alot when Juan Gone and Palmero are behind you. Why take a chance and run yourself out of an inning. It's apparent you have some sort of agenda against Arod, and you abusive behavior as well as your Yankee fan like feeling that you know more than everyone else about baseball, despite the fact that you can't actually back any of your theories is starting to get annoying.. Have fun on your impending timeout.

I'm not sure where this theory that Arod doesn't steal so he can stay fresh to break a record is coming from. That just makes no sense. Running an extra 90 feet every couple games isn't gonna jeprodize his career. A more likely reason is that when you have an offense full of homerun hitters like that, you don't want to run yourself out of innings.

I'm serious, put Vlad in ARod's place in Texas' lineup and he'll give you the same numbers, but with a higher batting average and he'll throw in 40 steals for good measure.

ya, but does he play gold glove defense at short stop? Its much easier to find a 40+ home run hitting Outfielder, than a 50+ home run hitting Shortstop.

It's just a theory. The reason I'm leaning towards it is in Seattle there were plenty of home run hitters and he still took off. He stole to 46 bases in 1998, I'm pretty sure Seattle hit the most home runs that year. Also in 2000 his last year in Seattle, their weren't very many home run hitters, and he only stole 15. Big guys who steal 40 bases DO put them selves at risk. Of course playing in Texas with Palmerio and Gonzalez doesn't help either, just a theory.

I'd argue this point with you more, if I thought you knew anything about baseball. But going on your past posts your just another homer Yankee fan who thinks he knows much more than he does.

but for the last couple of years of ARODS career those comparisons are very favorable

being from NY you may have taken this out of context a bit...as im using numbers for specific years

and i give mickey mantle all the respect in the world as he definatley ranks somewhere between 12th-15th all time baseball player (non pitcher)......AROD definatley has his work cut out for him to reach that list.......

being a reds fan i might have to look twice if someone compared soriano to say joe morgan......and i also think soriano is one hell of a talent and actually i quite enjoy watching him play.......but i have to call a spade a spade and he is only just getting started how ever hot that start might be

but then again just like with the MICK & AROD the day may come when those comparisons are feesable

as for the arguement AROD would be a 6th or 7th hitter on yanks great teams or reds great teams or whoever
