I know... getting the RBI leading tag batting from the #1 spot is next to impossible... but also realize that the 7-8-9 hitters on the Yanks are as good as some teams' 3-4-5 hitters...

Don't think i'm saying Soriano sucks, I think he's an awesome player... I'm just stating there IS an advantage to playing with a supporting cast like that.

I'd say ARod hits in a pretty decent lineup too. And as for Vladdy, his lineup is GARBAGE compared to those two. Just imagine him in a real line up!

Man, is this post long enough?...

As for Soriano, I'm with Lenny Dykstra... he's a hack. Pure physical specimen, not an ounce of baseball ingenuity or intellegence, and nowhere is that more evident than when he's in the field. He's the perfect fantasy age ball-player. ALL STATISTICS. When you guys who love him are expressing your love it's all stats and percentages... and no one mentions the fact you will learn nothing from watching this guy play. He's the last guy I would point my son towards and say, "there son, is how to play baseball." Maybe I'm a purist, I don't know... but I could care less about this guy. I'd rather put my dollar down on a guy like David Eckstein, doing all the little things to get his team over... rather than Soriano who has ruined his swing trying to go 40-40 and slumps his team right out of the first round of the playoffs.

In the long run, what's going to seperate Soriano from legends such as Bonds and Williams... etc, is that when his body goes his game will go... and no one will want him for their fantasy team and no longer will he bat lead-off for a $200 million dollar line-up.
