Re: Nick Adenhart Killed In Car Accident
I appreciate that man. I think we have to realize that life is very precious and really enjoy it to the fullest. I mean, these people were out to have fun after a hard nights work and that is it for them. Just truly tragic. I think the Angels and Bees did a very classy thing by postponing their games tonight. Goes to show how classy that entire organization is.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!Comment

Re: Nick Adenhart Killed In Car Accident
I understand Alcohol has a power over some people, but that is not the problem here.
This guy was driving on a suspended licence for drinking and driving...and he decided to go out and get drunk then drive home.
He made the choice when he was sober...so no, I will have no sympathy for this guy. I feel for his family, I feel for Adenhart, I feel for Adenhart's family, but this guy knew what he was doing.
Wow, just an awful story. I'm glad his family got to see him do something great one last time last night though.

Re: Nick Adenhart Killed In Car
I'm not trying to be rude but this is going to sound rude: this is a thread for people to share condolences for Nick Adenhart and the other victims of this senseless tragedy, not to listen to bleeding heart liberal B.S. about how alcoholism is a disease and the asshat who did this couldn't help himself. So please out of respect for the deceased take this drivel somewhere else. Let people vent and say what they want and keep the psycho-bable out. If you want to defend this clown do it somewhere else. Thank you.

Re: Nick Adenhart Killed In Car
Wrong response.
Being an alcoholic means you're addicted to alcohol, it's not a license to be stupid. I've known (and still know) alcoholics and all of them don't drive. They can't handle it. This individual had his second chance, and he blew it, and now his hands are covered with the blood of three (possibly 4) innocent people and he'll likely spend a long time in jail thinking about it.Comment

i understand that he should not have done it, i was simply saying i feel sorry for him as well, there was no need for the response that guy gave me...
anyways RIP to everyone who passed, and good luck to all of the people who's lives were ruined by this very sad event including the guy responsible and his family and loved ones who will suffer as well... no need to attack me for looking at things from a wider scope then just the ones who passed...Comment

Re: Nick Adenhart Killed In Car
C'mon, dude...just let it go.
I'm not justifying the driver as he's an idiot and should be imprisoned for eternity but IMO there shouldn't be a limit of a blood alcohol level...Maybe that just makes too much sense to me but with alcohol being such a volatile product able to skew and alter a person's mind and conscience why is there any tolerance towards it? As much of a tradegy is to the Adenhart family, what about the family of 5 or something that is hit dead-on and killed that never makes the news? Whether it's a famed person or a lowly middle class family - drunk driving is still the culprit and the full blame...Sure the driver is an idiot and should be imprisoned or possibly put on death row but there should not be any leeway or any "limit" on a person driving w/any alcohol in the system whether it's a single drop or a full keg.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: Nick Adenhart Killed In Car Accident
Yes let's feel sorry for someone that gets addicted to alcohol then kills 3 people. Let's pat everyone on the back for completing AA or drug addiction. Good ****ing job for being responsible finally and let's have a Dr Phil special now.Comment

Re: Nick Adenhart Killed In Car Accident
Trust me, it happens all the time here. As far as the idiot... he better get more than just a cell. Seriously, there should be no tolerance for people that drive a vehicle over thousands of lbs... pretty much a weapon under the influence. Just because you don't have the intent to murder anyone, what's the difference? Its like going into a crowded place with a gun and shooting blindly. I didn't intend to kill anyone but if someone gets killed.. well ****, my bad... I didn't mean to. That guy is likely to get charged with murder.Comment
