Yeah, the Royals announcers were talking about that before the 7th. Saying how the Royals were still in it, because that seems to happen a bunch.

Like the night before when Baker had a no-no after 6 and completely soiled himself.

I hate Eric Wedge.

That's inexcusable. Pinch-hit Delucci for him also. I want to know what world Wedge lives in that he thinks Delucci is a better hitter than LaPorta.

Rick Ankiel was just taken off the field on a stretcher. Nasty collision against the wall in left center. Pedro Feliz hits a ball into the gap, Ankiel goes after it on a dead run, catches the ball, and ends up smashing full force against the wall with his head, neck and shoulder as he's stumbling to the ground off a dead run. Down for probably 10 minutes and just taken off the field immobilized. He gave a thumbs up as he left the field, so hopefully that was all precautionary. But that was definitely one of the worst OF crashes I've ever seen.

Hope he's ok.

He had been 0 for 6 before that AB, and sometimes after a young guy hits his first homerun he goes up there trying to hit another. He pinch-hit with a veteran hitter to lead-off the 9th of a game they needed to score to stay alive in. You can't argue with results since Dellucci delivered and Barfield (pinch running) ended up scoring. Don't worry, once the kid proves himself a bit more he won't be seeing many pinch hitters.
