Ok, I'll throw my humor out too.

Griffey is not one of the best in the game right now, and hasn't been one of the best since being traded. He was one of the best in the game before injuries started knocking him down. He'll need to stay healthy and start producing again before he can be considered one of the current best.

I think otherwise. I believe he's one of the best but how can he show it if he is almost always on the DL. I hope the injuries over the past few years don't screw him or his career. I hope he doesn't spend his prime years on the damn DL. On the bright side he almost is up to the 500 homeruns which is a guaranteed ticket to the Hall of Fame, and one of the reasons why he belongs there once he calls it quits.

He can't be one of the best if he's on the DL all the time. If you're talking about his career then yes, he's one of the best. But if you are talking about right now, he's not. Players have to play to be among the best and he hasn't been playing much. That's why I said he has to stay healthy and start producing again to put himself back towards the top. You can't play half of your team's games and still be considered one of the best.

Re: Griffey coming back this week!!

He is definitely not one of the best players any more. He hasn't done much of anything in the past 3 years, and is going to have to prove himself again that he's worthy to get into the HOF. The day is coming when 500 homers won't guarantee a ticket into the hall any more. Writers are already arguing whether Palmeiro belongs or not.

From what I heard, he is (or was) not liked in his clubhouse, unless things have changed in the past year. I remember he had an arguement with the Reds HOF announcer one day a couple years ago. Why was he arguing with the announcer of all people?

Let's see what happens when he makes his comeback and see if he can get back to his former all-star self.
