    The 1964 Phillies?

The Phillies squandered a 61<BIG></BIG>2 game lead, posting a 10-game losing streak with 12 games remaining in the 1964 season and losing the pennant by one game to the Cardinals
Your lead is only 7 games...that's not comfy.

Dude for real now! Your lead would be safe at 2 games. We are not going to win the Div. We might have a shot at the WC though. But that will depend on both sanchezes'

I probably wasn't clear enough. I wasn't saying they don't have easier access to it. I was suggesting that it's not the primary reason they use it. The reasons are deeper than just having it over the counter.

I think Ortiz just sent a message to the leak. A 425 foot three run go-ahead bomb to put the Sox ahead of the A's.

Speaking of which, when did this news really come out? I mean I'm sure Papi has already been informed, but what about the fans at the ballpark? Man, that must be pretty strange to be driving home later in the day and hearing about it on the radio.

I'm not condoning this at all, as being a Sox fan, this is a sad, yet expected day. It just frustrates me that people immediately say "taint the titles!" when it's blatantly clear that you'd also have to taint damn near every other title from the past 20 years, at least.
No, they'd DEFINITELY be tainted. The whole league is.

It's as if the All-Star Game showcases the leagues steroid users, while the average, non-using players stay at home and watch the All-Star game.

This is very troubling for Major League Baseball. It seems to be concentrated among the superstar players, which makes the whole league look like a sham.

How so? From a business perspective, MLB and the MLBPA have been completely vindicated of looking the other way regarding steroids for the past two decades. The players are richer than ever, the owners are richer than ever, attendance is higher than ever. Fans have said, over and over again, "We don't care if our players were/are juicing as long as our team is winning and we're being entertained." The only thing that concerns MLB is $$$, and there's no evidence that widespread steroid use is costing MLB any revenue.

HOLY HIT if Griffey and DJ is on that list. That would send a huge ripple effect in baseball. If those 2 guys i mean wow i cant imagine the damaged baseball would take if those 2 were on the list. Big AL who cares alot of people suspecting him of roiding it up so he got caught its wouldnt be a big deal. But DJ and Griffey are consider the golden boys of the steriod era.
