    Re: 8/3 - 8/9 MLB DISCUSSION

When Jon Lester is on, he is awesome. 3 hits, 2 walks, 10 punch outs, no runs so far against Tampa through 6.

In no-no news, Petit just got hosed on a 3-2 pitch to open the 8th.

And its over, Cedeno breaks it up after the walk. He was laboring so the Dbacks might be partially glad it got broken up.

Yep. The Pirates lineup isn't so hot.

It's funny watching the game on the Pirates flagship station. They've been mentioning "no hitter" as frequently as possible trying to jinx Petit. Truthfully, I hope he does no hit the Pirates...embarrass the hell out of them. Maybe ownership will figure it out then.

EDIT - There goes the no hitter. Cedeno laces one into leftfield.

Nice to see Tom Gorzalanny have a really good debut with the cubs tonight.

Blue Jays get to Mariano, but he hangs on for the save.

I really don't like that Girardi uses Mo for 4 outs so much. 3 run lead with the Red Sox coming up is not a time to do it. Not saying that's why he wasn't sharp tonight, but in the long run it can't be good.

            lmao, weirdest nats game ever.

josh johnson is unhittable, retiring 20 in a row at one point. then, in the 8th inning, the nats score 6 runs, led by studs like willie harris, alberto gonzalez, wil nieves, and ronnie belliard.

and the nats hold on to beat the marlins for the 1st time in 2009.

Bard is intent on throwing this game away. Yay. Red Sox suck in Tampa and waste a good outing by Lester. I'm going to bed.

                J. Sanchez is starting to figure out his control issues. If he can, we will have a 3 aces! Any ways thanks for the trade Pit. I like Freddie and he is making a pretty big impact with his new team. Also, has Alderson pitched yet for your AA team?

One of the worst calls I've ever seen. There is a throwing error by Bard on a bunt. Runner on 1st already. Ball goes into the corner. THE RUNNER IS ALREADY ON 3RD BASE when the fan touches it in the corner. The ump sends him back to 3B and the other runner to 2B. EVEN THOUGH the runner was already at 3B.

Only happens with the Red Sox. this is some shady ****.

Brian Matusz joins Koji Uehara, Brad Bergesen, David Hernandez, and Jason Berken as the 5th Orioles rookie pitcher to win in their debut.

White Sox win with a walkoff single by Podsednik!

Gordon Beckham had a Home Run, and an RBI single to tie the game.

Yes. Pitched very well and got the W.

Looks like Freddy's played in 2 games for you guys hitting .333 (1 W, 1 L). That's about what you'll get from him when healthy.

We wil take it. He said today he is still trying to find his swing. I like that. That is cool about Alderson. Also, freddie hit a HR too.
