The Phillies host a 6gm homestand this week, and need to extend our NL East lead over the Marlins w/ a decisive 3 gm series.

Moyer vs JJ on Sunday, and hopefully Mr. Moyer can continue his mastery of the Marlins.

Dodgers have a 7 game homestand between the Brewers and Braves. Can't wait to see Kershaw tonight

Huge week for the Red Sox with a 3 game series against Tampa and a 4 game series with the Yankees. Should make for an interesting week regarding the standings.

^ That will be an interesting week for the Sawx. Yankees are what... 0-6 vs Boston this year.

In those 3 TB games bet you face Garza once huh...he's had Boston's number for awhile.

Yeah game 1 is Lester vs Garza, hopefully Lester can be his dominant self.

I may cry when Smoltz pitches against the Yankees. His righty/lefty average split is .247/.403, and the Yankees are lefty heavy along with their switch hitters. I don't think the Sox will be undefeated against the Yanks after this series.

Well Jays face the Yanks for a short 2 game mini-series. I hope that the Jays can score enough runs so that Roy can get the win tomorrow. Then we face the O's for the Blue Jays '92/'93 reunion weekend!

Man, we've really got something special in Neftali Feliz.

In his MLB debut he pitches two innings and strikes out 4, puts no men on base and hits 101 on the radar gun.

The Nationals just went 4-4 on a roadtrip. Wow.

The law of averages says there is no way Boston sweeps New York again. I'll eat my hat if they pull that off.

I'm more interested in seeing how the Sox play Tampa. Tampa has had Boston's number dating back to last year and their players have run wild on Boston's catchers. I'd be happy with a split.

I saw in rsox's transactions thread that Mark Prior was released by the Padres yesterday. Career over?

David Huff...ugh, throw him in with Jeremy Sowers in the "we never should have drafted them" pile.

Yusmero Petit is taking a no-no into the 8th. He's actually not pitching particularly well, only 3 punch outs and 2 walks, but it doesn't really matter if he gets the next 6 outs without allowing a hit. It also helps that he's playing the Pirates.
