I don't think so. Buehrle is a young guy with a lot potential. I don't think they would want to get rid of him, atleast not yet.

It is hard to say if Colon is going to be sent out, although it is a big possibility that they would. I could see them trading him for some decent hitters to try and get something going. I don't think they should because he is an excellent young pitcher. They arn't going anywhere big anytime soon, so I think they should keep their guys that can help them in the future.

the reason i say that.. is cuz he has said no to all contract extensions a year past the year he is eliglble for free agency.. around here the rumors say that the reason is cuz he will sign with the cardinals cuz he is from STL.

Perhaps make his way into the Beantown?..or maybe even the Yanks.

Colon has been tossed around the majors lately...he needs a home.

Dammit trade loiza instead...He's only pitchin' well cause he's playin' for a contract...so his value is still high.

I shudder to think where the Sox would be without Loiza this year. We would be battling the Tigers for the cellar. Which may be happening soon anyway.

The guy started out the year with a minor league contract. So while he may be "playing for a contract" it is certainly not in the normal sense. He has been pitching to stay in the big leagues and doing a hell of a job.

As far as Buerhle goes, he f*cked up big time. He turned down some serious coin, counting on having another good year before free agency. He will not get what he turned down.
