    8/24-8/30 MLB Discussion

Justin Verlander vs. Jered Weaver pitching matchup tonight in Anaheim. Should be a good game and good series.

The Jays are exploiting some bad fielding by the Rays and overall have been beating Jeff Nieman all over the place.

The amount of injuries the Mets have had.. add some more?

Johan Santana scratched from next start and may need surgery with elbow problems in pitching arm
Jeff Francouer who was acquired may also have a tear in his thumb.

Minds well shut them both down and get ready for next year.

The Blue Jays make me cry

They score 7 runs yet lose because the Rays absolutely own Doc. Actually Halladay has been very up and down since the whole trade imbroglio.

Amazing. Through nine inning the Giants have issued nine walks and allowed zero earned runs in the process.

It's crazy how the MLB plans it's schedule around these Yankees-Red Sox series. Yankees had an off day before the series and have ANOTHER one immediately after. What other team gets that kind of treatment?

Well, the Giants game was a perfect example of why MLB 09: The Show features no such comeback code:

I just watched the 14th inning of that one live....simply amazing. I figured they weren't going to give Tulo anything good to hit, but I never dreamed Eaton would walk too. Spilborghs homer was just surreal. Then there was Fowler taking a foul ball off his kneecap, staying in and eventually scoring on the Eaton walk.

Games like this are why I'm a baseball fan and not just a Cubs fan.

I agree, if I wasn't a Giants fan I would have love watching this game, but hell my cousin is the 3rd base coach now, so I think I will root for Rocks.

Shame on those Phillies for completeing a fisting of the Mets yesterday.

                        Your next Pittsburgh.

Let's be honest, everyone here was watching Royals-Tribe last night.

Luis Valbuena is a XBH machine.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
