I have heard a lot of Sports Reporteres lately, saying that with Roger Clemen's 300th win and 4,000th strikeout, that he is better than the legendary Nolan Ryan.
I don't see how you can make this comparison. Nolan had over 1,500 more strikeouts than Roger, he has 7 no-hitters to Roger's none, and he owns the record for the most strikeouts in single-season history. I don't see how you can make that comparison. Sure, Nolan Ryan never won a Cy-Young, but the fact that he didn't is a complete joke. Nolan is also one of the most durable pitchers. The guy pitched over 40 games two seasons in a row, and he continued to play until he was 45, making it a total of 27 years in the league. Clemens is most likely going to retire this year or next. I just don't see how you can say Roger Clemens is better than Nolan Ryan.
