Re: 9/7 - 9/13 MLB Discussion
Lincecum's got strikeouts and innings on Carpenter... I think Carp probably won't win because of he missed like a month of the season... unless he ends up with like 20 wins and around the same ERA he has now. But honestly, as long as we make the playoffs and go deep, I don't care if he doesn't win the Cy. Its all about the postseason.Villanova Class of 2012

Beast and Belliard in the same sentence is Funnnnnny.
Anyways...Phils need to rebound from a 3-gm sweep by Houston. What better team to face after a 3gm sweep, than the Nats. Anyways, it's not like we had an 8-game lead, and now only see our division lead cut to three games.
Philly leads the season series vs the Nats 10-2.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Madison Bumgarner makes his major league debut tonight and nothing beats having to face the Padres for your first career start.
Over/Under, Bumgarner strikes out 8.5 Padres.Comment

Under. Can't see manager Bochy keeping Bumgarner out there to throw enough pitches to rack up that many strikeouts in his debut.
The Tigers need to play well this week against the Royals and Blue Jays this week so to take a stranglehold of the AL Central division this week. Rick Porcello is still looking strong pitching into the month of September to my surprise.
