Houston Street is quickly become expendible. Franklin Morales is nasty. I love Street, and a quality closer, but he might be moved for more pitching depth with Morales stepping in (next year). This is the old Moneyball approach.

I kick myself hard, I saw Street sit down after the 8th and I knew something was wrong. I sit on it, and someone else in my fantasy league snagged Morales. Stupid on my part.

Make that 11-2... and we have a Raul Ibanez sighting in Washington.

Sweep for the Cards. Pujols with 2 more bombs and Waino gets his 18th win by pitching 7 shutout innings.

I'm skeptical on Morales at this point. He could be lights out or the next Manny Corpas type of pitcher who bounces back and forth between setup and closer roles.

I'm impressed that he added 2-3mph on his fastball to top him out at 97 with location too.. he's put in alot of time into his pitching atleast

Took 2 out of 3 from the gnats as well, boy they are sure pissed AG took about 3 seconds to admire his HR. Hit him what 3 times the last 2 games, we don't retaliate and take em both. Colorado's next....

                Surprise stat:

Peter Moylan leads the majors in appearances (albeit only 61 IPs) and hasn't allowed 1 HR all year.

Shouldn't be too surprising considering how ridiculously extreme his groundball rate is. He's a groundball machine.

*sigh* Yet another great outing by a Tigers starting pitcher being wasted due to lack of run support. Robinson Tejeda has shutting this team out so far.

I hate that the Rangers got rid of him.

Seth Smith infield single, Brandon Phillips rolls around on the ball after he dove for it, Barmes and Marquis score.

4-3 win in the botom of the 9th

Yet another beauty from Tommy Hanson blown away. Bobby should be ashamed of himself for not even giving the kid a chance to complete the shutout.

According to Elias Sports Bureau Billy Butler is the first player to have three doubles in a game four times in one season (At least since 1900).

Maybe it's just me, but I find it crazy that nobody has ever done that.
