                    Dumbest move I've ever seen, You take out a good hitter like Kubel and bring in Gomez for defense? That may come to bite them back.

                                No, starting a no-talent 3rd string catcher at DH is because that's what caused the situation in the first place.

                                                Jose Morales was the starting DH, he's a ****ty backup catcher with no business DH'ing for anybody.

                                                That forced Kubel, the primary DH, out into the field.

                                                The smart play was to simply start Gomez in the first place, allowing Kubel to remain at DH, and ultimately avoid the ridiculous situation where you pull him from the game.
