Which reminds me.... wasn't that Jamie Moyer I saw in the Phillies dugout?

I think that CBP management should go into the LAD locker room around the 6th inning, shut off the hot water and replace the shower room soap with Lava!

I don't think this is a huge deal but defending it by saying he couldn't affect the outcome doesn't make sense to me.
This... Stay out there and support your team...
Think of it like this. When I finish my work early, I have to stay (along with everyone else) until the work day is over. Manny is getting paid 45 mil for two years of service so, the least he can do is sit is arrogant, selfish a$$ on the bench for an inning or two.

I'm sooooo glad that he's out of Boston!!!

          Much ado about nothing.

          Did this affect you? NO.
          Did this affect Braxton? NO.
Did this affect the L.A. Dodgers? NO.
Did this affect the Phillies? NO.
Did this affect the outcome of the game at all? NO.

People, what did you expect? That is just Manny, that's his personality. Everyone knew what to expect, and this is the kind of thing that was expected. Everyone saw what happened in Boston, Dodgers knew what they were getting into. This is not a big deal, though.

Also, If you think Manny is the only one who does this, you are sadly mistaken. Nobody would be saying this stuff if Belisario did this...

This shouldn't even be a news story...it happens all the time and Manny has done it ALL year. In the 1986 World Series game six, Keith Hernandez, who was still in the game, was back in the clubhouse downing a beer and cigarette when the famous rally occurred. Bottom line, this isn't new and if the Dodgers don't care, why does the rest of the world?

Being an athlete is more than about the skill you bring to your particular area.
That makes him "not an athlete"???

You said it right though when you said "I think". That's what it boils down to. You just don't like it. That's an opinion. To portray it as damaging his team's harmony or success is ludicrous.

So, now, having said that. If I stop "whining and crying", can I have my balls back please?
That "grow a pair" comment was directed to anyone who hypothetically might be affected by Manny not being on the bench. Not at any poster.

What of it? The league would have been miffed he wasn't there to talk to the media. But it wouldn't have had any affect on the game.

You guys think you're jumping @ Manny, but the reality is you're insulting the rest of the Dodgers. To think they are so mentally weak, that they could be distracted by Manny's absence is insulting to his teammates, not Rameriz. The players on the field have to make the play.

Why do starting pitchers even come to the park on days they aren't scheduled to pitch?
Cause they are required to. Its obvious what Manny did happens all the time as others have referenced. This is much ado about nothing.

Manny just plays baseball because its his job and he's good at it. He doesn't love the game. That's not a bad thing, I guess, but it's disappointing to see as a baseball fan. It's a shame that guys who live and breathe the game don't have the talent of Manny, because at least then they'd appreciate their gift and show some emotion in their biggest game of the season.

And for the Dodgers fans saying, "Who cares?," you should! This guy is supposed to be one of the best players on your team, but he doesn't even care. Who's to say when he goes out there to bat or field, he's putting all his effort into it? But I guess you guys already know this. He doesn't hustle, he doesn't play 100%. He can strike out in the biggest stage of the game and be indifferent. That's just how he is, but that's not a player who I would want to root for. And as a teammate, I'd be pissed. I'm out there busting my butt to help my team win the game, and Manny's over here in his own world. But again, everyone already knows this. I can't believe this dude is getting $45 million. That'll be the last big contract of his career, especially with him not producing as he did a year ago.

He has been this way since he has been in the league let alone on the Dodgers. You said it best yourself, he only cares about himself we all know this. It didn't effect Broxton from blowing the game. To me it's a non issue

I disagree that Manny doesn't love the game...from all reports he is one of the hardest workers in the cage. He may not love all aspects of baseball, like fielding for example, but the dude takes pride in his craft and works hard at it.

I really don't see how this is a big deal. This isn't even thread-worthy, let alone news-worthy. You see this kind of stuff all the time, not just Manny. Must be a slow day for the media if this is what makes the news.

Manny isn't even the best player in our outfield.

He's not getting all of that $45 mill just f.y.i and we all knew what Manny brought to the table, why do people sound shocked or surprised? Manny has been doing these kind of things for years. I guess people still want to use every little thing to talk negative about Manny. He has his moments and his act, but don't act like the guy doesn't put in work. His teammates can't stop bragging about how hard the guy goes into the batting cages.

I personally could care less about what he does, he hasn't been relevant to the Dodgers all year any ways yet we still had one of the best records even without him for 50 games.
