Re: Alex Rodriguez is not playing up to expectations.

How am I crazy? He's getting paid 24 million and he's doing worse than a guy who makes 900,000. Everybody says he just picked the highest offer, but if I were him I'd give back a lot of the money and demand they sign some actual pitchers. I'm sure he could do better than some guy named Benoit..?

I think that ARod is the best SS in terms of overall play in the game today. It's the contract that's the major issue. If I were him and I really wanted to win. I'd restructure my contract so that the money would come later on or just take a huge paycut.

If he keeps taking the money, no matter how well he performs if the Rangers still suck fans'll have reason to bash the guy. I think that ARod is a good guy in principle but he has the worst scum on this earth representing him in Scott Boras.

Boras is one of the most scummy agents you could ever find in professional sports. He has the charm of a toilet bowl. So when you say the word "agent" he comes to my mind immediately.

I personally don't think the NYM would have been a great choice. I was rooting for him (I am impartial to A-Rod and Seattle) to stay in Seattle, cuz they had a better team than Texas.

In ATL, what would they have done? Maybe moved Furcal to 2B, and done what with Giles?

Ok...you are unfairly comparing the two contracts. A-Rod is in his 8th season, making $22 Million (and going through Free Agency to get that contract). Pujols is in his 3rd season, still playing under the contract he signed when he was a rookie in Minor League ball. Trust me...Pujols will see some big $$$ when his contract expires and it is time for a new one.

Not only that, but everybody can have a down year. You can't expect them to just keep getting better and better every year.
