Ok...you are unfairly comparing the two contracts. A-Rod is in his 8th season, making $22 Million (and going through Free Agency to get that contract). Pujols is in his 3rd season, still playing under the contract he signed when he was a rookie in Minor League ball. Trust me...Pujols will see some big $$$ when his contract expires and it is time for a new one.

Not only that, but everybody can have a down year. You can't expect them to just keep getting better and better every year.

I think that ARod is the best SS in terms of overall play in the game today. It's the contract that's the major issue. If I were him and I really wanted to win. I'd restructure my contract so that the money would come later on or just take a huge paycut.

If he keeps taking the money, no matter how well he performs if the Rangers still suck fans'll have reason to bash the guy. I think that ARod is a good guy in principle but he has the worst scum on this earth representing him in Scott Boras.

Boras is one of the most scummy agents you could ever find in professional sports. He has the charm of a toilet bowl. So when you say the word "agent" he comes to my mind immediately.

I completely agree. I don't like Scott Boras either...ever since I found out he was J.D. Drew's agent, and told him to sit out the season after he was drafted by the Phillies, so he could re-enter the draft.

Boras is very evil, and I completely agree.

Couldn't Chipper play 3rd? But then you would still have Andruw Or Jr to play CF. And you would love a healthy Griffey to play there. Imagine the middle of your lineup AVERAGING .300, 40 HR, and 110 RBI.

Then, if you had Griffey and Andruw in the outfield, you wouldn't need anyone else. They could play Left Center and Right Center field.

Alex Rodriguez not living up to expectations.

                              Be serious.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer
