May 3 - May 9 MLB Discussion Thread (Week 5)

Ubaldo Jiminez has a chance to lower that ERA tonight in pitching in the most pitcher friendly park of the century.

I hope whoever the Padres are sending out can stay on par and make this a battle of the bullpens.

Should be a high scoring game tonight in Chicago. Peavy vs Meche. Both pitchers have an ERA over 7.80.

Tigers vs. Twins series at Target Field starts tonight. It's nice to have important games being played now with both teams separated by a half-game on top of the AL Central.

Should be a winnable schedule for the Jays this week. I could see them winning 4-5 games if things break right.

What a gem by Cecil tonight! It's a shame he lost the plate in the 7th and eventually gave up a hit otherwise i'm sure he would've been given the opportunity to finish the No-Hitter. I didn't know this before tonight but apparently during the offseason he went to Mike Marshall who helped to change his mechanics to be better from a Kinesiology standpoint.

The Giants are playing the Marlins tommorow, should be an easy series.

Welp, looks like we need to hunker down and be prepared for the Royals patented 7-10 game stretch where they are laughably bad offensively.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. At least April was decent.

Went to the Pads/Rockies game tonight...Ubaldo was dealing. It's sick when you see a guy throw an 88 mph change up. He hit 100 several times tonight.

Wow how good it Time L for the Giants? I mean he is so young is he really going to get better? The kid is amazing.

Jinx him, just as I say that he gives up a 3 run HR.
