I have never been so angry at a call. After Jackson's amazing catch I knew it was destiny. He wasn't even close to safe in real time, let alone on the replay. Honestly, if I'm Bud Selig I reverse the call and give him the perfecto...it had no bearing on the outcome of the game. Disgusting.

Joyce is the home plate ump in tomorrow's game, too.

I honestly am beyond words at this point. One of the worst things I've ever seen in sports.

Re-watched the play and the aftermath. Rick Manning (Indians color guy) almost dropped the s-bomb, haha. "Holy sh...moke"

I dunno that it can or will be overturned, just doesn't work that way. But it certainly will bring up replay. Give each manager one challenge and maybe even have a 5th umpire in a booth who's job is simply that. It works in cricket.

We need a GIF of Cabrera's reaction ASAP.

Even if he was safe by a step, give him the perfect game. I am so infuriated by this call, at least Galarraga was a class act with this call.

Even with this happening, I don't know that I would want to support instant replay. What needs to happen is they need to put the umps in their place and make them realize they aren't god out there. Joyce should have asked for help and someone would have overturned it. Instead, he stands out there like an A** and then gets into it with Cabrera and the rest of the Tigers. He should be sent walking right now.

No challenges. That's the worst part about it in football. That and the ref under the hood.

It should be a guy, or a group of people, upstairs that have an earpiece on and can overturn any call almost instantaneously. I wish they'd electronically do balls and strikes as well and fair/foul balls. They do balls on the line in tennis and it's automatic, and balls/strikes could just use the systems already at ballparks, and just have the machine give the umpire a buzz telling him instantly ball/strike. Baseball has the capability to have the best and most efficient instant replay of any of the sports, imo.

Horrible call, but after seeing the replay a few more times I can understand why he might make it. If Gallaraga holds onto it instead of letting it fall the rest of the way into the glove there's no way you can call the guy safe there.
