SPTO...I just dropped Cecil in a pretty competitive league where pitching is needed, but he's been killing me over his last few starts and saw an opp to stream in Buerhle.

What's the word on Cecil in Toronto? Is he just getting figured out now, or is their something else to his recent struggles?

Ugh, forgot Ubaldo was sick, affected him as his stuff wasn't all there. Rough game, bound to happen at some point.
Honestly, should've not had him pitch tonight with his condition.

Awesome ending to the game tonight. Stewart and Giambi crushed homeruns

Get home from work, turn on MLB Network in time to watch that Rockies ending. Epic blast by Giambi.

I think it may be a combination of people figuring him out, losing confidence and bad luck. He's still throwing the ball well and for the most part locating his pitches pretty good as well. He's not getting some of the strike calls like he did earlier in the year but he's also getting nickeled and dimed by well placed balls. (his last start)

As for the confidence issues it was mentioned on the broadcast that he was showing some lack of confidence in his start in SD. I didn't see the game as I was on vacation at the time but apparently he had a stern talking to on the mound by pitching coach Bruce Walton. I'm thinking this is a blip on the radar and that he'll eventually get back on the horse. He's got enough good stuff where he can have at the very least some quality starts and give the team a solid 6 innings each outing.

Rangers beat the Pirates 13-3 to win 10 in a row, and are now 15 games over .500

Bases loaded and no outs, the D-Bags couldn't do crap with it. A foul out, a pop out, and a Reynolds intentional strikeout (I have to publish that faux-Onion article I wrote about him).

I feel bad for Reynolds. He's already gotten maybe 6 IK from the Padres this season I think. I think about more than half his K's are in the form of IK's.

Damn, you guys are brutal with the IK's.

For those who are totally lost on this inside joke, you'll have to refer to this thread.
