I was looking at Vlad's stats and was amazed to learn he's never had 100+ K's in a season.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Wow! Really? You'd think with the kind of "swing at anything close to the bat" approach that he has that he'd at least have a couple 100 K years.

^^^ If he swings at the first couple of pitches often, that means he is putting the ball in play before having two strikes on him often as well. Not to mention Vlad is very good at fouling off pitches that most players would swing and miss at.

I'm shocked the M's was a series over the Yankees 2-1 but we're getting wacked to start our series vs Detroit. I hope we can slowly continue to gain some ground in the AL West before the All-Star break and then get over the hump after the break.

I don't see the M's getting back into the AL West race. Their offense is just pathetic, not nearly good enough to win a division.

I think they are pretty much dead in the water at this point and they know it, which is why they are looking to trade Lee.

Man, that was a great end to the Nats Mets game tonight. Luckily, my break at work started when the Nats were up to bat and ended right when Pudge hit the walkoff single. Glad I got to see some exciting baseball there.

Interesting game so far between Giants and Rockies. Jimenez apparently made a tweak to his delivery since his last start, doesn't seem to have helped any. Gave up 7 runs in 6 innings.

Gigantes have seven big more outs to go to seal this one. I'd say they should hit up State Farm along the way.

Jimenez is about to completely fall back down to earth.

Kind of missed in the whole Jimenez bad outing is the fact in that 7 run 3rd inning, there was a missed double play call by the umps that would've negated 6 of those runs, then Dexter Fowler couldn't make a catch he should have on the next batter. This is where the luck factor comes in, and he was just unlucky and evidently, grooved one to Ishikawa who hit a grand salami.

The umpire made a worse call later when the Giants were on defense. And yet again, I can see this from how far away on my TV at what angle? Some umpires are just bad, and it really makes me wonder how they keep their job.

Man, i'm kind of regretting not dealing Ubaldo in my league when he was on fire. Probably could have gotten a good return. As it was though, my team was struggling with wins (Greinke was the big problem), and with Ubaldo's 14 wins, I didn't want to give him up.

Oh well. Hopefully he picks it back up. I have trouble believing that with as dominant as Ubaldo was aside from his last few starts, that he won't return somewhat to form.
