Hey, Scott Hairston finally showed up.
Decent outing, 4 runs. I'm surprised but I still think this one is out of reach. It's been a while since the Padres faced the Rockies but I know their bullpen is a lot better than the Diamondbacks.Comment

Man, Ubaldo hasn't been the same pitcher the past 2 outings. He probably needs a good long break, and recovery from the sickness he got and to rest up his arm, touch up his mechanics.7 National Championships

While that is true, his command is off, his velocity is off, his delivery seems different. I think that flu or whatever he got really affected him to be honest and he's still recovering from that. Probably ate him up and affected his stamina, which would explain the loss of velocity.7 National Championships

"That kid had everything to lose," Braves closer Billy Wagner said. "Everybody was expecting him to throw 100 mph, blow 14 people away and be pinpoint perfect. They forgot to tell him he was playing against a pretty [darn] good ball team."

Oh and yes Zumaya's career is over, shame too because he had all the stuff you'd want from a pitcher.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

The good news, despite being gone for the season, is it looks like something he may be able come back from and his career may not be over.
Still a big loss for the Tigers to lose Zumaya for the season. They may have to make a trade at the deadline to acquire more bullpen help.My Teams
