      Dear Matt Garza,

Thank you ever so much for pitching a no-hitter four days after I dropped you from my fantasy baseball team.

So walks and hit batters should be discarded?

Wow that's a lot of no-hitters. Congrats to Garza.

            Yep.

It's one of the few things pitchers can control, along with strikouts, hit batters and HRs, so I have no idea why they should be ignored.

Sorry, I was thinking the walk was a close call by the ump. I went back and looked at it and all of them were legitimate balls. I guess that's what happens when you watch 2 games at once.

So many dominant pitching performances so far this season. There have a been a few very close no-hitters/perfect games as well.

I still don't see the relevance though.

If they were bad calls you could certainly argue against the umpire (we've seen that this season!) but you still can't call it a perfect game just because there might have been one questionable call in an ab.

The check swing called a strike in the ninth was questionable so that goes both ways.

Sox going to the 9th with a 5 run lead. I can't get over how important Vizquel has been to this team. So good defensively.

And Sergio Santos closes it out. 1-2-3. Trade Jenks while he still has some value.

What's the record for most no-hitters in a year?

As for the debate a walk or a hit batter is an imperfection in my books whether or not he faced the minimum. Congrats to Garza though.

Anywho, Casey Jannsen very nearly crapped the bed tonight but at least we got a glimpse of the future IMO with David Purcey getting his first ML save.

Gardentool pulls Mauer for a pinch hitter without giving him a chance at a 6-hit game.

Oh ****. Youkilis line drive hits Haren on the forearm, has to be escorted out of the game.

It's crazy that both Scherzer and Garza had no hitters into the 6th, with Garza obviously finishing his...

If only Max hadn't given up the grand slam as his first hit allowed, on a full count with 2 outs, who knows how long they could have gone back n forth.

7, done twice - once in 1990, once in 1991.

                              Congrats to Matt!
