Re: July 26th - August 1st MLB Discussion
Among starters with at least 50 IP this season, Stephen Strasburg leads all of MLB in K/9 (12.42) and FIP (1.89).
With all due respect to Jason Heyward, is there any doubt Strasburg should be at the forefront of the NL Rookie Of The Year race? Those are absolutely staggering numbers for any pitcher, let alone a rookie.
I think that if Heyward goes on a tear, and reaches the 25 HR/100 RBI mark he gets ROY.

Im glad Strasburg game isn't on TV tonight getting sick of seeing him, while arguably the best pitcher in baseball Josh Johnson hasn't had a single nationally televised game.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Wow...what a bummer. Strasburg scratched due to soreness in his pre-game warm ups."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Okay, they just announced that the reason he was scratched is that he couldn't get loose like he usually does. I'm sorry, but there is protecting a young pitcher and then there's just babying him. How else do they expect him to work through stuff if they scratch him because he can't get loose?"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do.
