Snowmizer, if what I said doesn't apply to you then I wasn't talking to you. I just get sick and tired of people who repeatedly make fun of Marshall. It irritates me that people point out that he charges 100 dollars for a video without mentioning that he has a free online book and answers emails every morning and night.

The problem with most people is that they hear about Mike Marshall and are so ignorant that they immediately decide that what he has proven is wrong. Then they become self absorbed and fail to accept and explore other people's scientific discoveries and methods. When they actually try to read his book, they realize that they need to actually take the time to read each section and maybe even send Marshall an email asking him to explain something further.

No pitching mechanics work for everyone!!!!! there are certian things that you half to do during them to avoid injury and pitch well, but a lot of your motion is personal preference. Look at Nomo, Willis, and a lot of others who have their own unique motions.

I throw sidearm to 3/4, So his biomechanical mumbojumbo, means very little to me.his work is more than likely all about over the top pitchers, or at least it chould be because that is what the majority are.

I don't care about vector velocities and the odds on tilt of the moon when I pitch. I just want to have fun and throw the ball where i want to. Since i can do that, i don't need to know about the regergatated DNA samples of baseball players and the mindnumbing scientific work that followed. I went to his site and tried to read it. Now i am a straight A Honors Student, and it my opinion you need a Masters Degree in metanucleophysics to even understand him. His work is not for the general public. Because the normal person is not going to know what he is talking about.

When pitchers only forwardly rotate their acromial line to perpendicular to the driveline, they stop their pitching shoulder. This action decreases the distance over which they apply force.

Maverick, since you think your sidearm / 3/4 pitching style doesn't apply to what Marshall is saying, you obviously don't understand forearm flyout. Basically, if you raise your leg before you move your arms (or in other words, the balance position) you have forearm flyout.

And yes, I have emailed him saying that if his entire book was in lahman terms, many more people would understand it better. I have many gripes about Marshall's approach, but nevertheless his mechanics do prevent major arm injuries.
