I know it has nothing to do with this year. I was simply enlightening all of you Bonds acclaimers that the guy is SO overrated.

He can hit a homerun, and all of a sudden he's king of the world. At least Babe Ruth could PITCH pretty darn well, as well as hit.

As for this season? Pujols is your MVP. The guy is in the top 3 in average, homeruns and RBI's in the NL this season. Hard to pass those numbers by...especially for a roid ragin' homerun hitter.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

This bashing on Bonds' crap, the roid talk and attitude talk like you actually know the guy has gone from immature to flat out stupid. You should take a deep breath and enjoy it because he'll be done in a few years. As a fellow baseball fan I emplore you to stop trying to tear the man down and enjoy what he's doing. It's an absolute joy to watch. And if you can't recognize that than that doesn't say much for you.

The Giants are lost without Bonds'. With him they are great. He's the definition of an MVP, no offense to Pujols. But Bonds' has all the intangibles.

And everyone else ease up on Tejada. The guy has 51 K's this season... less than Berkman, Ordonez, Helton, just to name a few.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

    Immature? Stupid?

It's my opinion and I stick to it. We may share different views on it, but hey, it's exactly what I just said it was - TWO DIFFERENT VIEWS.

Ease up..it was my opinion vs. Bonds fans opinions. I argued my point as did they. I may be argumentative, but I'm not at all confrontational.

Well, Albert Pujols clinched it on July 12. Guess we should stop talking about Bonds than.

My take on Bonds is quite simple. The man deserves his credit. He's above his competition. He's currently the most dominant figure in baseball that I'm aware of.
Do I think he takes 'roids? Yes. The man gained 40+ lbs as he got older. Not sure whether the difference was in one off-season. Also, how can he explain his moonface? But don't try to make him out to be the only one using such hormones. Many other players should be considered too. Even players from your team!

There are no doubts that his defining moment was in '92 NLCS against Atlanta, in which he couldn't throw out an ailing Sid Bream from an shallow OF. He's self-centered, not a leader by any stretch of imagination, nor is he very fan-friendly. I remember hearing that after the failing to make a decent throw to homeplate to get Bream out, he was asked after the game about what happened, and his response was somewhere along the lines of " I don't care, 'cause I'm out of here anyway". Not sure whether that's true.
Oh, and please don't try to make him out to be intelligent nor "perfect". The guy insulted the Jewish community couple of years ago.

As for the MVP award, I'll give it to whoever takes his team longer into the postseason.
BTW, last season Albert Pujols was second in MVP voting to...take a guess.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

MVP's don't give it so much as a glance but still respond as a way of boosting their ego. Bonds sucks.

Every walkoff homerun is sweet! His is no different.
Of course the most sweetest was Jason Giambi's walkoff grand slam in the rain when we were trailing by 3 runs. INSTANT CLASSIC!

Most of you are jealous of Barry.Do any of you really know what type of person any of the ball players are.Like him or not, he is the best baseball player in todays game.People
debate about his place in baseball history, but regardless
of his demeanor, his accomplishments are astounding!
