I think head-to-head only makes a difference when two teams are fighting for a division and the wild card. If there's a third team there has to be a tiebreaker.

At least that's my guess.

Jon Miller made me hate the Giants with a passion for his claim of the Rockies cheating with no proof. Hope the Padres come back to win it, if not, then I hope the Giants get embarrassed in the playoffs and fall into disarray.

Because head-to-head tiebreaker should never determine whether a team is in the playoffs or not. That would be pretty chincy due to how long the season is. At least head-to-head now determines where the game is being played instead of a coin flip like when the Twins had to go to Chicago. *glares at whitesox*
