No, he claimed that the Rockies switch balls in the later innings to allow them to come back to win games. His only "evidence" is that some others have thrown the idea around as well. I'm in the corner of if you dont have proof, keep your mouth shut.Aaron

There was an article written about this a few weeks ago and the stats were alarming. They looked at the Rockies home/away splits as well as their opponents and the Rockies were hitting about 50 points higher with twice as many home runs than their opponents at home. Not saying anything shady is being done, but the numbers certainly raise the question."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Fun story, Padres. Enjoy going back to obscurity after you run one of the top 10 players in the major leagues out of town.Comment

Re: September 27 - October 3 Game Discussion Thread
Yes.
After the 2008 season, he admitted that he gave up in the middle the season and didn't give a ****. He then stated that it wouldn't happen in 2009. Fastforward to May 2009, an article comes out stating that "Adrian Gonzalez is a defeated man." So much for showing leadership.
Throughout the offseason he was *****ing about not only the organization but the city as well. I'm sorry if people in San Diego aren't making seven-figures like he is and are instead faced with financial problems that they don't have the luxury to attend ball games any more, but he took so many potshots and complained that without a $20-a-year contract how was he going to afford all those bags for his wife.
To make matters worse, the team is one game back on Monday and the only thing this guy can say is "How great it would be to play for Chicago, my wife would even love it!" You think a comment like that is going to bode well with diehards here?
I'm sorry, but when you're on the outside looking in, I can't expect you to know everything that is going on here, but he's ran himself out of here like Jake Peavy and Phil Nevin. As for fading into obscurity, so be it. It'll spare me the temptation of becoming arrogant to other fans.Last edited by BatsareBugs; 10-03-2010, 06:06 PM.Comment
