I'll miss Miller as he has a great voice and can call a good game but really, Morgan was just flat out horrible. BTW he would ALWAYS sneak in some reference to back when he played the game which drove me crazy because baseball in the '70s was a completely different animal to what we have today.

I know you think people generally rag on any announcers, but Joe Morgan was in a whole other universe. John Miller wasn't bad at all, it's just too bad that he had that douchenozzle bringing him down all the time.

I actually don't mind the new team.

Shulman's an excellent college basketball announcer, never really heard his MLB work that much. Hershiser seems like your run of the mill color guy so it should be a tolerable crew. Just wondering how long is left on McCarver's deal now.

On that note i kind of wonder if Morgan will try to latch on with Fox. I shudder to think how bad a booth of Joe Buck/Tim McCarver/Joe Morgan would sound.

Just please keep him away from MLB Network. They have a good thing going and i could see him dragging it down.

I don't think anyone who doesn't like sabermeterics is the devil, but I discredit someone who doesn't take the time to understand the basic ideas

What I always found odd about Joe's open hatred for advanced stats is that Morgan (the player) is typically held in even higher esteem by sabermetric types than by the MSM.
