Please don't talk about the shifts, or other strategies used by the opposing teams, when describing his greatness.
Most teams throw the "martini glass" shift at Giambi, and I don't bring that up when talking about his offense. Nor do I bring up other things when talking about him.

Totally, let's see Bonds be versatile enough to play DH like Giambi can.

AI, this thread is about Bonds. Love how you proudly claim how you "don't bring Giambi up"... but look what you did!... look who you accidentally brought up!... in a Bonds thread!.. If you want to slob on Giambi's knob do it somewhere else. Start another thread. Write an essay. Entitle it "the underrated Diplodocus of Gotham"...
As for Bonds. I will confess to not being his greatest fan in times past, but I've gotten over that in the last few years and can honestly say it's been a pleasure watching him play ball. We'll remember what he's doing now for the rest of our lives.

I didn't even bring up Giambi! Show me where I brought up Giambi, and used it to to his defense? All I said was that shifts, shouldn't come into discussion, when talking about a person's offense.
And you damn know if the Giants had an upcoming good LF, and had the DH rule, Bonds would be DH-ing everyday. Then, we would see a differential that may bring up the point that being a DH isn't as easy, or as healthy as many think.
And TO, Bonds isn't hitting .400.
