    Home Team Announcers

We all know the Braves and the Cubs broadcasters, and living in L.A. you have to know Vin Scully,
but what about the rest of you, how do like your home team announcers?,
being from Boston i liked watching Sean McDonugh and Jerry Remmy call a game.

The team of Matt Vasgersian and Mark Grant is good for me. They're good at being comedians at times. BTW, they're from 4SD.

I am a Cubs fan, but I like the Cards and D-Backs announcers a lot. Chip and Steve are all right, but Harry Carey is what made me a Cub fan. When your in 3rd or 4th grade and you see a guy that has those big glasses, you'll watch and laugh

I love Jim Kaat and Ken Singleton, both Yankees announcers. They know a lot about baseball history and baseball in general. They call a great game and are entertaining as well as informative. I'm now 17 and I'm glad to have grown up in the 90s watching them and learning about the game of baseball. They taught me sooo much about mechanics and about the way pitchers and hitters think. I feel lucky to have grown up a Yankee fan.

                      Blue Jays announcers:

TSN- (regular team) Rod Black and Pat Tabler: They're kinda boring together. Tabler started off as a VERY bland and boring colour guy a couple yrs ago but he's starting to ever so slowly get better. He's a bit too vague with his analysis tho. It doesn't help that he's paired with an arrogant prick in Rod Black.

(B team) Rod Smith and Pat Tabler- strictly a B team. Smith is a lot more tolerable then Black but asks too many questions and doesn't have a distinctive call.

                      ROGERS SPORTSNET

(A team) Rob Faulds and John Cerrutti- Rob Faulds is one of those tv guys that really annoy me as he tries to crack jokes and be relavent but just fails at it bigtime. This year tho he's done a bit less of that and has done a better job at calling the game. Cerrutti has improved by leaps and bounds this year too but he's still a bit annoying.

(B Team) Faulds and Tom Candioti- I so wish Candiotti was the regular analyst. He's far better at explaining the game, pitchers and the situation then Cerruti. Faulds also actually seems to have a better sense of professionalism with Candioti. Faulds doesn't try to be as "funny" or make himself look bad then.

so that's my summary of the Jays home announcers.

For the Giants I have the best crew of all time (and I mean it)... Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow, a.k.a. Kruk and Kuip. Jon Miller also broadcasts Giants games at times... like today was radio only, and he was play-by-play.
