Bernie,
I like kaat, but singleton's lost. Did you see him during the guidry ceremony, when he thought sparky lyle was wade boggs? He should have been fired on the spot.

Kruk and Kuip are awesome. Mike Krukow has one of the best baseball minds in the world. Plus, they've both got a ton of character. I expect they will be working together here for many many many years.

I really get spoiled by Kruk and Kuip, and definitely think they're the best announcing team in the business (at least that I have heard). You really notice on games where you have to listen to, for example, those losers that Fox usually has announcing games. The call of Bonds' homerun on Saturday (first game back after his dad died) was pitiful. Sometimes, an announcer needs to just shut up and let the levity of something speak for itself. Kruk and Kuip (and I'm sure other announcers) understand this. Those lame fox announcers don't. I hate playoff baseball announcing because of that. Ugh. Thom Brenneman, Tim McCarver, Steve Lyons (although he's the best of that pitiful bunch). Spare me.

Thom Brenneman isn't so bad tho admitedly I havent' heard as much of his announcing to really make an informed opinion one way or another.

I forgot to mention the Jays radio team of Tom (Cheek) & Jerry. (Howarth) They're pretty good but may be a bit past their prime IMO. Tom Cheek is from the old school style of radio broadcasting where he describes the action and makes some asides but nothing too fancy. His voice puts me to sleep if i'm listening to a game in the late innings/west coast game. Tho I will always be grateful for him in making the greatest call in Blue Jays history.

Jerry Howarth is a bit bland and is often made fun of on the morning show. He has a very upbeat and cheerful sounding voice and personality so they put on skits of "evil" Jerry Howarth LOL! Tho I like some of his sayings like "and there she goes" (HR) "The jays take flight" (usually accompanying the HR call)
