I hate Yankee Stadium! The 314 foot BOMB that Cano just hit, wouldn't have reached the warning track at my high school field. Even Austin Jackson hit a ball off the very end of the bat foul and it still had the distance to clear the fence by 15 feet. It's a wiffle ball stadium

After hitting singles last night, Howard is back with a 3 run homer and an RBI double that moves Rollins to third.

Starting to think the Reds took any talk of the Brewers winning the division to heart and decided to pound them into the ground to make a statement.

This sucks. We're playing like total **** to start this year. 6-2 in the bottom of the 4th, if it stays that way and I doubt it since there's runners on 2nd and 3rd, isn't totally out of reach but they're killing us right now.

The distance down the right field line at Yankee Stadium is the same for the opposing team as well. While playing 81 games in that stadium surely inflates the Yankee player's individual numbers, it serves no advantage on a game to game basis.

Having said that, I do agree that the fences there are too shallow.

It is the same for both teams, but that still doesn't change the fact it's stupid. I remember last year Cabrera hit a slider a foot of the ground, and practically in the left handed batters box, and flicked it 5 rows into the right field seats. It can help both teams but I just don't like that type of baseball. If a pitching throws a nearly unhittable pitch, and the batter misses the sweet spot completely, it just shouldn't be a homerun.

I like pitching and defense and scores like 4-3. I just don't like watching games in this yard.

Loved the slide and that was pretty good base running.

Most awkward slide in the history of baseball by Huddy.

Brennan Boesch goes deep! He's hitting like he did in the first half of last season. Cabrera has gone deep twice today also. Tigers up 7-4. Gotta hold this lead.

Reds are looking good in their opening series. Lets get the sweep Reds.
