I think pretty much everyone can agree that Felix and Roy are basically 1a and 1b, and everyone else is looking up at them.

Wasn't trying to single you out, but I noticed quite a few posts omitted him.

He's coming off of the 2nd or 3rd best K/BB ratio in a single season in history; I think it's safe to say he's solidly in the conversation and arguably the best pitcher in the game.

But is he Edison Volquez? Because his powers exceed the rules of the game.

If you're talking about me comparing Felix to Halladay, so be it. Since you didn't elaborate on that little (I'm assuming) snide remark, I will simply say that I quickly admitted that Felix is not on his level, at least yet. If your comment wasn't meant that way, I apologize.

He's been one of the few bright spots in Seattle sports over the past six years or so... Forgive Mariner fans who think he might be the best in the game. It's all we've got right now and it helps a lot of us hold on to our sanity.
You think you are the only MLB fans who've been dealt a crap sando? Hardly.

At least we're not the Pirates. Although, as of now we're not that far behind.

                        Your lineup is decidedly worse.

The Putz trade was also brilliant, being able to get Guti, Vargas, plus a couple prospects out of the deal. He is still trying to clean up after the mess that was the Bavasi years, he is finally going to have some payroll flexibility next year, and he has brought some respectibility to our farm system as well...
Z is the best thing to happen to the Mariners in a long time. Anyone who thinks he should go just doesn't know what they are talking about. The Ms aren't going to get better through the free agent market, they need an eye for talent, a guy who can draft well and get value in trades. Z does just that.

The Ms are a long ways a way. The cupboard was pretty much bare when Z got here, and now you can see some things starting to blossom. Unless he absolutely screws something up, you keep a guy like him around.

As for Felix, I wonder just how long he is going to put up with this. They missed out on Harper. Hopefully they can snag that kid Rendon this June...

But man, even with the little seedlings of hope, the Ms are a barren wasteland right now.

Come on now BK...all of those championship pennants at PETCO and that 100 million dollar team they keep rolling out. Wait, never mind.

I wish more Mariner fans cared enough to even have an inferiority complex.

Most Mariner fans I know are cynical or indifferent.
