I kid I kid...Philly is top 3 or something in runs scored in the league, but last night they got shutdown by Livan's 67 mph curveball.

Livan is just like Moyer was. That's why he is still around

The offense is last in pitches seen and walks. It's going to catch up to them

Brewers/Pirates rain out will be made up on August 22 in a doubleheader.

That happens to fall in a long stretch in the schedule without an off day. From August 9-24 the Brewers will now play 17 games in 16 days. Brutalness.

Where is pitches seen coming from? I looked on MLB.com and see "NP" number of pitches, but for some reason can't seem to get it to filter by team instead of player.

At any rate...they've seen so few pitches, because they're near the bottom in the league in total plate appearances - which is probably a result of not getting enough walks and also hitting into 10 double plays which is 5 less than the lg leading Angels/Cards.

I noticed the Pirates had a similarly brutal schedule while playing as them in MLB2K11.

            They play 17 games in 17 days from May 6th - 22nd.

Not the first or last team to be shut down by Livan. Sometimes he pops up with a dominant performance. There's a reason he always finds a team to sign him.

And by "dominant performance" I mean the other team hits a lot of balls at defenders instead of the gaps.

Hell, sometimes he even no-hits people in MLB 11.

                  God that sucked.

Royals finally bust loose on Liriano, four runs in in the 4th and still no outs.

What the hell is wrong with Liriano this year?

He was absolutely terrific out of the gate last year and as far as I know he hasn't had any setbacks since.
