Yeah, so my argument would be his career UZR/150 is skewed a little due to very poor defense initially and that his more recent years have gotten better
EDIT: I don't know what happened with him in 2010 - but he apparently had a terrible year. Oh well

Re: Best defensive 1st baseman
UZR, I believe Adrian had some negative UZR's too.
I really don't have an opinion on who the best defensive first basemen is, I just know from paying more attention on the NL side Pujols and Gonzalez were definitely tops. I'll give Adrian the advantage simply because left-handed fielders have that advantage at snuffing out sacrifice bunts and getting the lead runner. Of course now that he's in a city with more exposure but a different league-style, he unfortunately won't get many opportunities, but it's little things like that.
My vote went to Pujols, but Teixeira is a great defensive 1st baseman.NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)

Howard is not a liability in the field.
Since slimming down some he has become more agile.
His main knock has always been throws to 2nd...accuracy.
Is there a metric which rates throws to first? Because Rollins has been throwing some crap Howard's way in recent yrs, to include this yr.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
