    In a way it's pretty disappointing as i've always liked Hill. It just seems he doesn't have the legs for the game and the lower body is a big part of a swing. His hamstring issues the last couple years have really hampered any kind of improvement for him.
    I could say the same for Lind...I thought after his monster 2009 he'd develop, but his K/BB ratio is still horrible and his power/OPS has plummeted.

      There's more hope for Lind in Blue Jay land. He's made a very successful transition to 1B and is fielding the position quite well. A lot of pundits up here believe that Lind has more of an upside and will find his way eventually this year and beyond. I don't know what to think about Lind right now as i'm on the fence. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt over Hill mainly because he hasn't had the injury concerns and is playing above average for his position defensively.

        Anybody know why Buddy Carlyle wasn't awarded a save last night for the yankees? I've been trying to figure this out. He met all the criteria to my knowledge.

          He only pitched 2/3 of an inning and came in with 1 out and nobody on up by 3. The tying run has to be either on base, at the plate, or on deck if you pitch less than an inning. You have to satisfy all four of these. He did not meet criteria 4.
          1. He is the finishing pitcher in a game won by his team;
          2. He is not the winning pitcher;
          3. He is credited with at least ⅓ of an inning pitched; and
          4. He satisfies one of the following conditions:
            1. He enters the game with a lead of no more than three runs and pitches for at least one inning
            2. He enters the game, regardless of the count, with the potential tying run either on base, at bat or on deck
            3. He pitches for at least three innings

            Thanks, I didn't see that part about about the 3 run lead and having to pitch one complete inning. Thank you

                  Coghlan with a HR, making that 3 on the year. Funny when you compare it to the slump he was in to start the season last year when he didn't have an extra base hit till May, has 11 so far.

                        I think there's maybe 300 people at the Pittsburg/Nationals game. Not counting who's in the bathroom, the umpire/grounds crew, ticket takers, and concession workers.

                          Well, at least our road to a .500 season looks like an entertaining one?

                          I can't tell very well because my MLBTV is giving a real crappy feed (may be my internet because everything's slow as heck), but conditions look absolutely awful at Wrigley tonight.

                          Edit: WOW, maybe Starlin should just sit out on the rainy days...
