                True, and now he is really starting to fully harness that stuff and put it all together. That should be terrifying for the rest of the AL.

                            He's putting together a Cy Young caliber season I can't wait to see how it plays out. They'd be stupid not to have him start the mid summer classic. He's an under the radar superstar.

                                        Love JV, but I think his stuff overall is about at the level of Felix Hernandez as far as tops in the AL. It's a virtual push between these guys.

                                                        I guess no one noticed the "longer win streaks" in my comment... lets see 8.0 games out of first prior to this Braves series and 5.5 games out of the Wild Card... obviously the Phillies and Braves will need to struggle but more importantly the Mets need to string wins together (something similar to what the Rockies did in 2007).

                                                        And plays like the one Beltran just made on that deep fly by Chipper Jones is what leads to those "longer win streaks"
