Ya, both the 2-2 and 3-2 pitches were strikes. Rauch had a reason to be heated...it was comical seeing him stand over the ump and Farrell trying to pull him off.

The 2-2 pitch was questionable and the 3-2 pitch was low... and Utley was safe at the plate.

The 2-2 pitch wasn't questionable. It was knee high and the Phils feed showed the overhead cam and it had plenty of plate. The 3-2 pitch was even better.

Yes, I thought Utley was safe, but that isn't why Rauch was heated.

The inning should've been over twice, but he made a bad throw to McDonald who couldn't turn two. 2-2 and 3-2 were both strikes which also would've got him out of the inning.

Good news for the Cardinals, Pujols is ahead of schedule in his recovery and could be activated sometime during the 4 game series against the D-Backs which starts on Thursday (best case scenario with how things are progressing right now). They could also wait til after the all star break but good to hear he is recovering well.

I would rather they just wait and activate him after the break for the series against the Reds rather than risk bringing him back a bit too early but if he really is ready we could definitely use his bat (although the team has been hitting better the last few games).
