??? What has Chipper done to deserve your hate? Chipper screams old school throw back and has done so much unselfish for the team (change positions, give money back so other players can sign, etc). I'm really curious about this one...

Well with most things "hate" wise it's pretty irrational. I actually don't hate him as a player but he said some things about Toronto after the WBC that grated on me and soured me on him a bit:

"We stayed in Toronto for a week and played three games. I don't know if you ever stayed in Toronto, but it's not exactly Las Vegas," Jones told the paper.

"To say that we were plucking our eyebrows out one at a time would be an understatement."

It was a very foolish comment by him and while I think he's a great old school player he showed a ton of ignorance with that.

Otherwise he's everything you'd want in a baseball player.

You're probably right it just kinda rubbed me the wrong way. He made it sound like Toronto is a country bumpkin town with nothing to do.

I get the Swisher hate. The exaggerated gestures after every play make him seem like a hot dog. Nice guy or not, that's not going to play well with people - especially since he plays on a team that garners the most media coverage. He's better than a .210 hitter, despite his numbers this year due to the dreadful first first 2 months. His last two years have been pretty darned good though.

I dislike Pedroia - what kind of guy goes around calling himself Laser Show? He's overrated and talks way too much. At the same time he's got that special something that I really love in players that transcends numbers.

Please explain to me how Pedroia is overrated? ROY & an MVP on his resume, plays the game hard & hustles. I'm not a Red Sox fan in any way, but he's better than Cano...& go ahead & try to bash & say I'm crazy for saying it, but it's true.

I wouldn't say he's that much better. They have very similar batting stats, actually. Cano hits for a little more power, Pedroia gets on base a little more. Pedroia is the better fielder, though.

You can't go wrong with either at 2B really.

It's close. Pedroia walks more and doesn't rely on hitting a high average as much, so he's probably more consistent. I don't think you'll ever get a real down year from him like Cano had in 2008. But Cano has more power, I don't think Pedroia is capable of having as good of an offensive season as Cano did last year

Yeah, even as a Sox fan, i'd almost be inclined to choose Cano. I love Pedroia and what he brings to the field, but Cano's ceiling is much higher. The guy could legitimately be the best pure hitter in the league in a couple years IMO. Then again, Cano could take a page from Pedroia's book and be more patient at the dish.

Can't go wrong either way.

Hate these guys b/c of their demeanor on and/or off the field:
A-Rod, Bartolo Colon, K-Rod, Lackey, Kevin Gregg, Manny Ramirez, Burnett, Nyjer Morgan, Jeff Weaver, Brian Wilson(just b/c of the beard)

A few guys who agitate me when it comes to fantasy baseball b/c they should be better:
Kinsler, Grady Sizemore

You should've steered clear of Grady Sizemore. Major injury problems plus a Spring Training article indicating that he wouldn't run as much as before all were red flags.

In older baseball games ('02ish), my friend would play as the Braves while I was the Rockies. I grew to hate Ryan Langerhans because every time my friend needed a big hit, damn Langerhans would be the guy to pull it out of his ***.

So digital Ryan Langerhans, I cant stand him.
