Ah my bad. I didn't see that play but I've seen him do that before on plays where he had to move like 10 feet to catch a fly ball.

After that, he focused more attention on the crowd than the game for the rest of the half-inning. Even when running in, his head was turned like an owl toward the left-center field stands. Then he singled out fans by the first base dugout as he hopped over the foul line running in, and wouldn't stop his "Nyjer being Nyjer" escapade.

You simply can't do that. The fans paid tickets, they have the privilege of saying what they need to say for players who are out there to entertain. The catch was entertainment, the after-effects were not.

Yeah I just saw the highlights on SportsCenter and I agree there was no reason for him to do that. I couldn't stand to be a fan of a team with a guy like that on it. He is a disgrace to the game of baseball.

To a lesser extent, Ichiro. I know, some peple are going to be baffled by that. I have just never been a fan. I respect and appreciate his talent. What he's done from a sheer statistics perspective has been pretty special. With that said, I think he's a horrible teammate. Multiple former Mariner players have attested to this. He's not a leader. He's our $18 million dollar, 38-year-old lead off hitter who has lost a full step this season and is all but done. His defense is also in a steep decline. I just feel like he's been a guy who has always been about himself and his numbers. He complained when the M's wanted to move to CF. He pouted when they tried batting him third. It just seems like he has never been about the success of the team, but rather his own numbers and wants. Not many M's fans share the same view of him as I, but it's just my opinion. My hope is that he finishes his last two or three years in Japan and the M's can get out from under that contract. Realistically, he might be a bargain for the M's at his current contract from a business perspective, but from a baseball one, he's crippling us right now.

My clear-cut #1 hated player in the MLB. He has always rubbed me the wrong way while watching him play with his selfish style. Has always seemed to me that he gave 110% running out his precious little infield singles but gave 75% effort when going from 1st to 3rd. Defense has always been over-rated to me. Sure, he could get some coverage to balls in the gap but again his laziness in coming into get a ball is torture to watch. When the game is a blowout, he half asses everything, unless of course he is looking for another single (yippee).

The guy refuses to leave the lead off spot. You can clearly tell all he wants this year is 200 hits and won't take the walk. He's walked 7 times (taking out IBB) in the last 200+ PA. The fact I have to watch a singles hitter getting paid 18M to play selfishly and only worry about 200 hits pains me, but I understand he's the moneymaker. Just wish he made that money somewhere else.

Jered Weaver as of today. Even before he got ejected, he dropped an F-bomb at Ordonez for simply doing his job (hitting a homer), he's a cocky SOB, and I couldn't be happier that Guillen starred him down as he trotted around the bases.

I agree for the most part except that I didn't really like what Guillen did, even though Weaver did somewhat deserve it for barking at Ordonez earlier in the game. The major problem I have with Weaver is how he threw up towards Avila's head. I can understand coming inside or even drilling the next batter in the back after what Guillen did, but under no circumstances should you throw it anywhere near a guy's head. That is classless regardless of the circumstances.

I don't think Guillen deserves a pass, but you can't tell me that Weaver didn't start things by yelling at Ordonez for no reason after his HR earlier in the game. Guillen has always been a very classy guy, that kind of thing is not the norm for him at all, and most likely a large part of the reason he posed was because Weaver was barking for no reason earlier in the game. Basically that is eye for eye kind of situation, Weaver showed up Ordonez and than Guillen showed up Weaver later in the game.

Regardless of what happened Weaver is still classless for throwing it around Avila's head.

I didn't see the Weaver/Ordonez deal. I just didn't understand how someone could hate one and approve of the other for essentially doing the same thing. I don't think Guillen should of posed regardless, just as I don't think Weaver should of thrown at the head.

Well for Weaver talking crap to Ordonez and Cabrera for doing absolutely nothing, Guillen showed Jared up. Classic example of "what goes around, comes around." You'd be happy if someone on your team showed someone like that up too, so I don't understand your beef with me. Plus Guillen has always been a class act anyways.

I can't say I approve of either Weaver or Guillen's actions, but the bottom line is that the whole situation would have not of happened had Weaver not reacted the way he did to Ordonez's HR. That is what started the hostility and Guillen was basically just giving him a taste of his own medicine. Both weren't things I like to see, however.

The biggest reason I didn't like what Guillen did, has more to do with the fact that your putting your teammates in a situation where they may get plucked. Of course I didn't think Weaver would go anywhere near the head in that situation.
