Then the Rangers would take ARod off and negotiate with the interested team.

Yes, the Rangers realize that ARod is the key to their success, but almost everyone in baseball is put on waivers. You just don't hear about it.

I wish A-Rod could get out of Texas just so he could get more credit for the type of player he is. That's one of the reasons he doesn't win the MVP alot is because he plays for a losing team in Texas. And I don't think any team will want to pick up his salary unless they get another George Steinbrenner around baseball.

yankeepride: A-Rod is the reason why Texas SUCKS so much. They don't have the money to pay for his salary and then go out and get quality pitching. This is why they have to try and restock the farm system with pitchers. The whole idea of rebuilding the farm system with stud pitchers is great in concept but a lot harder in execution.

Mr October: Even if A-Rod left Texas everyone is going to remember him for taking that huge contract. A lot of fans were left with a bitter taste in their mouths when he did that, especially Seattle fans when he said "oh i'd like to stay in Seattle".

Yet he listened to Scott Boras(s) and took the mega bucks when he was given pretty good contracts by the M's and Mets.

I'd take the extra money in an instant. I just question players who can get traded to a playoff team and still earn the same money yet turn the deal down. I don't mean to point fingers but... *cough*Palmiero*cough*. Nah, I understand where Palmiero was coming from about Texas being his home and all. I just hate hearing people call A-Rod money hungry and doesn't care about winning. If you say you would not take that contract you are a monk or a damn liar.
