And even those types of players dominated the historically bad M's offense of April-July. These kids popped Beckett for five runs in the first on Saturday, so they aren't just picking on AAAA pitchers. I think Casper Wells is going to be a good player for a long time. He unfortunately got caught in the numbers game with the Tigers, being basically screwed out of opportunities playing behind a way-over-the-hill Maggs and Ryan Raburn early in the season. I'm rooting for Wells to do good things for the Mariners.

Casper Wells is pretty impressive indeed. Does he have enough ABs to qualify for rookie status this year or next?
