    Now, who to root for

Well now that my Giants went from looking like champs to being choking chumps, I need to decide who to pull for the rest of the way.
I'm a huge Giants fan, but I'm also a huge Baseball fan, so I have to watch.

The things I'm considering rooting for.

    1. Cubs- It would be cool, but I can't stand Sosa or Dusty (was sick of him since '93)
    2. Red Sox- Cubs/Sox would be awesome, but I went to Boston and found the people their to be very rude. Not saying they all are, just my experience.
    3. Yankees- Sox/Yanks ALCS- Way F'n Cool- when I went to NY people there were hella cool, exactly the opposite of what I've always heard. Plus, the Twins need to get out of this cuz they have the worst park.
    4. A's, Braves, Marlins- These are just all teams I hate because of things they've done to the Giants in the past.

You know what, I'm just gonna root for exciting baseball, so far it has been. Even though we only got 1 win, all four games were exciting. The A's Red sox series has been off the hook exciting.

Re: Now, who to root for

As a huge baseball fan with no home-team this is an issue I battle with every October. At the start I thought any combination of A's/Red Sox.. Cubs/Giants would be the sentimental favorite and provide the most excitement.

Sadly I find myself pulling for the Yankees to beat the Twins. Maybe because the skanks have blown it for two straight seasons, but the drama of a yanks/A's, yanks/Red Sox series is just too much to not want to see. Of course, I hope that the 'just' thing happens in such a situation and the A's/Sox beat the Yanks in 7 exciting games. In which case I've gotten to see exciting baseball and gotten to witness the legion of bandwagon jumping/pathologically ill 'need to win everything' yankee fans eat crow and zip it.

I just can't get behind the Marlins. But you can't deny they're an exciting team. The thought of a Marlins/ Braves pennant series is horrifying, however... as an objective fan, how can you root for a team coming from that fan base. They were out-numbered in their own stadium. They've had one inspiring play-off run in 12 tries. ZZZZZZ to the Braves. Anytime the majority of your fans come from the idiot box that pretty much sums up their character... so go Cubs' tonight, for the love of God, go Cubs'...

So, yeah, what do the rest of in the impartial baseball fans think?

          I won't even watch a Marlins/Braves series, and I love baseball.
I don't think I'd watch the Yanks/Braves either, or anything with the Twins in it.

The Twins are an exciting young team, but the ballpark sickens me.

Root for the Marlins so if they win the W.S. you can say your team got beat by the best.

I enjoy the post season. I usually watch no matter what team is playing.

I would like a marlins - yankees world series, because its the south florida, new york rivalry. Both areas would be going nuts.

But then i would also like a cubs, bosox series.

Oh yeah and i hate the braves
