      Re: Yankees vs Redsox Thread

Alright, I am not even gonna bother getting in the middle of a flame war, so how about we actually talk about the upcoming GAMES in the series instead of yesterday's news.

I think in order to win, the Red Sox need to REALLY step up. Yesterday, all they did was heat up the Yankees even more, which caused them to get shut down, which I hope doesn't keep up.

And please, for GOD'S SAKE, DROP NOMAR DOWN IN THE ORDER!! I am SICK and tired of watching Nomar CONSTANTLY not coming up with clutch hits, swinging at terrible pitches, and just plain doing horrendous in the playoffs. I wouldn't mind if he was dropped down to 9th, atleast other players might get a chance to actually produce at the top of the order.

Anyways, I hope the game is good tonight, and GO SOX!!! Unless of course, the game is postponed. The weather is looking pretty bad last I heard.

Of course that pitch had a meaning. Every pitcher, catcher, batter and so called baseball fan should know that when you have an 0-2 count on a batter the next pitch will most likely be a high fastball. All Manny knew was that the pitch was high because as soon as it was thrown he ducked his head. He had no idea if it was inside or over the plate. He was looking for something to over react to. If you notice the rest of is swings were waiving at the pitches. He wanted no part of Roger.

As for what happened the inning before when Pedro had runners on second and third with no outs, the lefty Garcia up and a right handed batter on deck. I knew he was going to either hit him or walk him because as a former pitcher I would rather pitch to a righty with the bases loaded to try to set up the double play. Which was what happened in this case. Im not saying the way Pedro hit garcia was right, but everyone should have known something like that was going to happen. Pedro also knew he was getting lit up so by hitting garcia like that it takes the inside corner of the plate away from Roger. He was just trying to put things infavor of the BoSox. And look what happend for the rest of the game. No Yankees reached base. Too bad for them the damage was already done.

And if you were watching the post game interviews Roger was asked about that high pitch to Manny. "If I meant to throw at him, Manny would have known I meant it;"

Go Yankees. I hope the eliminate them in Boston so the Red Sox dont have far to cry home to.

Thats all I have to say about that game. On to the next.
