    Re: Yankees vs Redsox Thread

Say what you want about Clemens, but Pedro has to be the dumbest player alive.

He and only he lost that game for the Sox. After he hit Garcia, the RedSox hitters were running all night.

Did you see Manny bailing on every pitch? Roger could put it right down the pipe and Manny didn't have a chance. His weight was on his heels from the outset. You could see he was scared by the way he reacted to a high fastball OVER THE PLATE. Though he had his eyes closed so I guess we can excuse him for being confused.

Pedro didn't have his stuff, got frustrated and blew the game. He wants to make a name for himself without even considering the ramifications for his team.

I'm not a Yankees fan OR a Boston fan, I just called it like I saw it on ESPN.

How many times in his career has Roger done something like this? Hmm...a lot. He's known as a headhunter, so there is good reason behind me assuming it was him who started it all. I mean, remember the '00 WS against the Mets, where he threw the bat back to Piazza?!

All I'm trying to say is this - Roger has no class whatsoever on the mound. Yankee nation shouldn't be saying he's classy, when you know well that he's not.

What the heck does what Clemens did in the past have to do with what happened this time??? Nothing at all. Base your statements on what happened during the time in question.
Oh the heck with it... It's all Ty Cobbs fault....if it wasn't for him none of this would have happened...

If its relevent then why should he not mention Clemens past. The incident of Zimmer-Pedro stems from Manny charging the mound. Manny's reaction was born out of hypresensitivity to the fact theat Clemens is the biggest headhunter of all time coupled with the fact that Roger might very well retaliate and you have what you saw. If Clemens had no past as a headhunter then Manny might not have charged the mound. 2000 is relevent as it is one of many events that has contributed to Clemens reputation. You simply cant disaggregate things as you are suggesting.

It wasn't a fan who ran onto the field, it was a groundskeeper who was working in the bull-pen.
