To me it doesn't make much sense to start Beckett. Why not rest him just in case they need him for Game 7?? I mean, they could very well win it tonight w/o Beckett, but wouldn't you as a Marlins fan want your ace starting in Game 7 (Well Rested), if it goes that far?? I would. If it were me, I would keep Beckett for Game 7 and take my chances in Game 6. I just don't get this move. I'm routing for the Marlins, since they knocked my Giants out.

Exactly. As a Yankee fan, I'm happy about this. To win the World Series, the Yankees will have to beat Beckett anyway. I'd rather it be on 3 days rest than full rest.

yeah and throw Redman out there to get creamed again? yea right if the yankees win this series they are gonna have to go through beckett and pavono now. put the two best u got 3 days rest or not and if u cant do it then u werent meant to win the title. dont put someone out there to save someone for game 7. u want to win and with redman on the mound that wouldnt happen. he wouldnt make it out of the 1st inning.
